HDP-9000EX High Definition Telephoto conversion Lens 1.8x
Especially developed for using with a large aperture taking lens of High Definition camera, extending the focal length 1.8 times. Brings a distant subject
up very close in maintaining the original superb image quality.
HDP-9000EX lens is originally designed in high resolution formula getting
an amazing 280 L/mm resolution power at center. It perfectly suits to a high definition camera.
The lens comes with an originally made Lens Shade which shuts a flare and
ghost image effect considerably and the lens case. These are packed with
the lens in the carton together.
HDP-9000EX extends the focal length of HDR-FX1 and HVR-Z1 camera lens to
700mm telephoto*.
With the HDP-9000EX lens attached, there will be no influence on F number
of the master lens. This model is 72mm direct mounting size.
Construction: Sturdy and solid metal body
(excluding the Lens Shade)
Magnification:
Nominal 1.8x
Actual 1.8x/Diagonal, 1.8x/Horizontal
Lens construction: 2G/4E Optical coated glass elements
Minimum focusing distance: 2m
Effective zooming without vignetting: 6x - 12x zoom(16:9 mode),
4.5x - 12x zoom(4:3 mode)
Front filter size: 108mm
Mounting threads: 72mm
Size/Weight: 120 x 210mm/825g(29oz)
(including the Lens Shade)
The lens shade will cut an unwanted light beam,
and it reduces flare and ghost image effect considerably.
With HDP-9000EX lens on, there will be a darkening at corners (vignetting)
when the camera is zoomed towards wide angle side, though the starting
point of darkening may vary depending on the camera in use. For example,
with Sony HDR-FX1/HVR-Z1 it does not occur between 6x and 12x zoom area,
and with Canon XL-1/XL-2, XL-H1 20x zoom it will be between 5 to 20x. The
'vignetting' means the darkened corners on the picture, and it may happen
with only at one corner or two or all four, depending upon the characteristics
of the camera in use.
HDP-6000EX High Definition
Wideangle conversion Lens 0.79x Production discontinued - Feb. 2013
New HDP-6000EX 0.79x high definition lens is especially designed for Professional
High Definition Camcorders. It maintains clear focusing while zooming whole
zoom range.
The lens creates super wide angle view of f=25.6mm (35mm film equiv.),
compatible up to 12x zooming position when mounted on the SONY HDR-FX1/HVR-Z1. HDP-6000EX lens controls the image distortion percentage at the least, less than -2.4%. The lens has an amazing resolution power of 640 lines/mm at center (MTF 30%) to suit the high definition image quality of the camera. This model is 72mm direct mounting size.
Construction: Sturdy and solid metal body
Magnification:
Nominal 0.79x
Actual 0.788x/Diagonal, 0.788x/Horizontal

HDP-5072EX High Definition
Semi-Fisheye conversion Lens 0.5x
The model HDP-5072EX is a 0.5x semi-fish eye conversion lens particularly designed for use with the High Definition large aperture camera lens, and it has a resolution power of 630 lines/mm at
center (MTF30%). With the HDP-5072EX lens mounted on a High Definition camera's lens, it broadens 100% more the field of view than the original widest angle of view. In shooting a subject of short distance with HDP-5072EX lens on, it creates an interesting image of semi-fisheye effect, taking an advantage of the -31% distortion nature, but it takes a panoramic picture of 0.5x wide angle coverage without bothering the distortion image, when taken a distant subject.
Construction: Sturdy and solid metal body
Magnification:
Nominal 0.5x
Actual 0.44x/Diagonal, 0.5x/Horizontal
Lens construction: 3G/3E Optical coated glass elements
Minimum focusing distance: 1cm
Effective zooming with conversion lens on: 1x - 5x
Front filter size: None
Mounting threads: 72mm
Size/Weight: 42 x 125mm/640g(22.6oz)
HD-FXR180 High Definition 180-degree (diagonal)
Fish-Eye Conversion Lens-Production discontinued in May 2013.
The lens is particularly designed for exclusive use with SONY HDR-FX1 and
HVR-Z1 High Definition Camera lens. It opens up the field of view ultra wide
angle like 180 degrees (diagonal) and 138 degrees (horizontal), upon mounting
the lens on the camera's lens. Further, the lens has an amazing resolution
power of 625 lines/mm at center (MTF 30%) to suit the high definition image quality of the camera. This model is 72mm direct mounting size.
Magnification: Nominal 0.24x
Actual 180 degrees/Diagonal, 138 degrees/Horizontal, 75 degrees/Vertical (taken at 16:9 Wide mode)
Lens Construction: 4G/5E Optical coated glass elements
Front filter size: None
Mounting threads: 72mm
Size/Weight: 65 x 100mm/700g(24.7oz)
Accessories included: Lens caps, Lens case.
Note: The lens is designed to perform an optimum capacity when used at
the zoom range from the widest angle point to 3.3x ratio. Beyond the 3.3x
toward telephoto, it starts losing the image quality at corners.
It's reasonable with HD-FXR180 lens to have the corners vignetting, in
this design formula when set at the widest angle position of the zoom,
to achieve a diagonal 180 degrees coverage in the Over-Scanning system
(like TV Monitor) or Under-Scanning (PC Monitor). If the vignetting on
TV monitor concerns you, it can be eliminated by zooming the lens toward
telephoto while carefully watching on LCD monitor. When the unwanted vignetting
appears on the PC monitor in Under-Scanning system, please refer to the
instructions in the "Zooming Position" of Animation. Shooting
in 4:3 DV mode may not achieve a diagonal 180 degrees coverage in the Over-Scanning
system (like TV Monitor) or Under-Scanning (PC Monitor). No vignetting
effect may appear in 4:3 DV mode.
Note; " vignetting " means the effect of darkened corner or a corners of picture taken. An appearance or degree of vignetting is basically effected depending upon the technical characteristic of the camera in use.

● The cosmetic designs may change without prior notice.
● Remote control function may not work properly with conversion lens attached.
●The HDP-9000EX lens is rather heavy stuff and may limit the way of shooting condition. Be
careful in handling the camera with the lens attached, such as supporting
or protecting the lens by your own hand at all time while shooting images.
● There will be no reduction of light value(F-number) when these conversion lenses
are attached on the camera's lens(Except DCR-5320PRO, DCR-150, DCR-250, MSN-202 and MSN-505
macro lenses.)
● Depending upon the condition of shooting, especially when the lighting
is not bright enough, there may be possibility of creating a flare effect
which reduces the image quality. When the conversion lens is attached,
please make sure that the object is under the bright condition.
● Raynox telephoto conversion lenses were designed to use at maximum Telephoto position of camera's zoom lens.
● Raynox wideangle conversion lenses were designed to use at maximum wideangle
position of camera's zoom lens unless specified.
● DCR-7900ZD+RA6272 lens may focus properly only at the maximum wideangle
position of HDR-FX1/HVR-Z1 cameras.
● Although you may detect a white dot in the HD-FXR180 lens sometimes when looking into from the front, but it's not out of normal and would not affect any of image quality. ● A combination of DCR-7900ZD+RA6272 may not be able to mount on the other
72mm filter size cameras. ● Exposing the conversion lens to a warm atmosphere in an instant way from the cold area may create some dew on and inside the lens. When it happened inside the lens, keep the lens in a dry area till the dew disappear before using. Repeating such may leave dirt spot - (mildew) and affect the image. ● The lens is neither made for dust-free nor moisture/water-proof.
● All of Raynox conversion lenses are proudly made in Japan. At our wholly
owned manufacturing subsidiary, every stage of production is rigorously
checked and tested so that the lens elements compensate effectively for
astigmatism, distortion and spherical aberration.... for an excellent image
quality.
