It stays in focus during the whole zooming when attached to the zoom lens of less than 4-time variation. It's a completely new high definition lens made of the high index optical lens with a 4-group/5-element formula.

●The DCR-FE181PRO full-frame (diagonal) fish-eye lens is designed to get a 180 degrees wide angle view suitable with as many as digital camera models available in the market, and it may create a slight ' vignetting ' at the corners of the picture captured with some camera model set at the widest position of the zoom lens.(Pic.1) If you do not like to have the ' vignetting ' effect during picture taking, zoom the camera lens slightly towards telephoto side. ' vignetting ' means that the four corners or a corner of the picture is cut off or darkened slightly.
●Depending upon the model of camera you use, the ' vignetting ' effect will not appear at all even set at the widest range of the zoom lens. The following models are the ones as far as we know at the moment. SONY DSC-F717/F707, OLYMPUS C-755UZ, C-750UZ, C-745UZ, C-740UZ, C-730UZ, C-720UZ, C-700UZ.
However, the image obtained by the cameras which do not create the ' vignetting ' may produce the image less than 180 degrees field of view.
●With Minolta DiMage A200, A2, A1, 7, 7i, Nikon CoolPix5000 models, the 180-degree field of view can be obtained either at diagonal or horizontal lines, set at the widest zoom range.
●The borderline of whether the ' vignetting ' may happen or not lies in the area of 37mm focal length (equivalent o f 35mm film format) of the camera lens. When the camera lens is set at less than 37mm focal length, the ' vignetting ' effect will appear, in obtaining a full-frame 180-degree field of view.
●There would be a possibility of viewing the ' vignetting ' on PC monitor screen, even though it did not appear on the camera's LCD monitor.
●Do not use the built-in flash while the DCR-FE181PRO is attached.
●The DCR-FE181PRO lens weighs 685g (1.5 lbs) and it's a rather heavy stuff and may limit the way of shooting condition. Be careful in handling the camera with the lens attached, such as supporting or protecting the lens by your own hand.
● Screw-thread pitch size is 0.75mm unless specified.
● Although you may detect a white dot in the DCR-FE181PRO lens sometimes when looking into from the front, but it's not out of normal and would not affect any of image quality.
●The specifications and cosmetic designs may change without a notice.

●Exposing the conversion lens to a warm atmosphere in an instant way from the cold area may create some dew on and inside the lens. When it happened inside the lens, keep the lens in a dry area till the dew disappear before using. Repeating such may leave dirt spot - (mildew) and affect the image.
